Biography
Dr. Samira KarimΒ is an innovative pharmaceutical
researcher and educator specializing in pharmaceutics and therapeutic delivery
strategies. She earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm, Honors) and Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) in
Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Asia Pacific, Dhaka, followed
by a Master of Business
Administration (MBA) in
Human Resource Management (HRM) from Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka. She recently completed her
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Advanced Pharmaceutical
Technology from Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka. Β
Her research focuses on the design and
development of diverse pharmaceutical dosage forms, with specialized expertise
in advanced drug delivery systems, driving novel approaches for precise and
effective treatment. In addition, Dr. Karim is actively engaged in the
isolation and characterization of bioactive compounds from medicinal plants,
bridging natural products research with pharmaceutical applications. She
mentors students on research projects encompassing pharmaceutics, phytochemistry,
pharmacology, and comprehensive reviews on the diagnosis, management, and
treatment of human health diseases. Her scholarly work has led to numerous
publications in reputable national and international journals, including
Scopus-indexed platforms, reflecting her commitment to advancing pharmaceutical
sciences and promoting innovative research in drug delivery and natural
therapeutics.
As an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, World
University of Bangladesh, Dhaka, Dr. Karim continues to mentor future
professionals and drive impactful pharmaceutical research.
