Biography

Farhina Rahman Laboni, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy, World University of Bangladesh, with over 12 years of teaching and research experience in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and natural products chemistry.

I am a passionate and dedicated educator and researcher specializing in pharmaceutical chemistry, natural products chemistry, and drug discovery & development. My research interests include phytochemistry, pharmacology, biochemistry, and the isolation and characterization of bioactive compounds from plants and biological sources.

Currently, PhD fellow in University of Dhaka, where my research focuses on bioassay-guided compound discovery with anti-diabetic potentiality. Throughout my academic career, I published 26 research papers in national and international journals, contributing significantly to the fields of natural product pharmacology and drug development. I earned my M.Pharm (2015) from State University of Bangladesh and B.Pharm (2013) from World University of Bangladesh.

My career ambition is to become a Professor and global pharmacy practitioner, to contribute to global healthcare advancements. Seeking to expand professional expertise through interdisciplinary research, academic leadership, and international networking in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
