Biography

I, Zubair Khalid Labu, am one of the senior-most teachers in the Department of Pharmacy at the World University of Bangladesh. I completed my Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy degrees from a reputed university, and also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma from King Faisal University, K.S.A. My teaching career began at the College of Pharmacy, King Faisal University, K.S.A., and I later taught at Gono University, Savar. I now have more than 25 years of teaching experience. My research interests include anti-diabetic and anticancer agents, prophetic medicines, functional foods and mushrooms, herbal medicines, and the isolation and characterization of bioactive compounds from medicinal plants, microbes, and marine organisms. To date, I have published 100 research papers in national and international journals.
