Program Overview
The Department of Pharmacy at the World University of Bangladesh has been proudly offering the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm. Hons.) degree since December 31, 2008. This flagship program is approved by both the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh (PCB), ensuring that our graduates are fully accredited and globally competitive.
The B. Pharm. program is designed with a modern and dynamic curriculum that combines core pharmaceutical sciences with foundation courses to prepare students for the evolving pharmaceutical world.
Curriculum Includes:
- Pharmaceutical Technology & Engineering
- Pharmaceutical Analysis & Formulation
- Pharmacology & Toxicology
- Hospital & Community Pharmacy
- Basic Sciences & Foundation Courses – Mathematics, Computer Science, English, Professional Communication, and Biostatistics

Academic Structure
The B. Pharm. program is divided into eight consecutive semesters (four years), featuring:
- 📘 General Education Development – 20 Credits
- ⚗️ Departmental Core Courses (Major Specialization) – 93 Credits
- 🔬 Minor Area of Specialization – 38 Credits
- 📑 Oral Assessment / Projects / Thesis / Capstone Courses – 9 Credits
👉 Total Credit Requirement: 160 Credits
