Plants have been extensively utilized since primitive era in order to cure different health ailments. Medicinal plants are enormously studied in the pharmacy courses specially pharmacognosy and pharmacology. Natural products especially from plant sources have been gaining popularity for last decades. To increase the practical knowledge about different medicinal plants, their ethnopharmacological uses and to corelate with the pharmacological effect, medicinal plant garden has been established in the department of Pharmacy. The garden is enriched with various species of plants that have huge medicinal importance. Our honarable Treasurer, Morsheda M. Choudhury, has helped us to build the gaden at the roof of our campus building for the Phamacy department. This garden certaintly will support our students especially the ones doing thier thesis for phytochemical reseach.
