Industrial Visit to Advanced Chemical Industries PLC (ACI)

As part of its experiential and industry-oriented education, the Department of Pharmacy, World University of Bangladesh (WUB), organized an industrial visit for the 37th Batch to the pharmaceutical manufacturing plant of Advanced Chemical Industries PLC (ACI), Godnyl, Narayanganj, on Saturday, 22 August 2026.

The students visited the Solid and Liquid Production, Packaging, Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Warehouse departments accompanied by three (3) faculty members: Prof. Dr. Md. Harun-Or-Rashid (HoD), Khurshid Jahan (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Samira Karim (Assistant Professor & Batch Mentor). The ACI team warmly welcomed the students and provided valuable guidance on pharmaceutical production, quality standards, and industrial practices.

The Department of Pharmacy, WUB, sincerely appreciates ACI for its generous hospitality and educational support. Special thanks to Mr. Muhammad Zahid Al Beruni (Director, Operations); Md. Omor Faruk (Deputy Director, Operations); Jubayer Azad (General Manager, HR Admin); G M Faruqe Hossain (General Manager, Quality Assurance); Mr. Md. Such industry-academia initiatives provide students with practical knowledge, industrial exposure, and a deeper understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector, helping prepare them for their future professional careers.
